THE OPPORTUNITY IS HERE

Goodwill Industries of Kentucky will soon call West Louisville its new home!

By joining its partners to invest $100 million in an Opportunity Campus in the Parkland neighborhood, the 100-year-old nonprofit organization is planning to become a vital part of a community that has endured years of disinvestment.

The combination of programs and services that will operate in Goodwill’s 120,000 square-foot lifestyle enrichment facility and Norton Healthcare’s 40,000 – 60,000 square-foot comprehensive medical center will launch a new era of hope for many of the 65,000 people who call West Louisville home.

Goodwill Industries of Kentucky will soon call West Louisville its new home!

By joining its partners to invest $100 million in an Opportunity Campus in the Parkland neighborhood, the 99-year-old nonprofit organization is planning to become a vital part of a community that has endured years of disinvestment.

The Future Home of Something Great

The Opportunity Campus will host an unprecedented collection of lifestyle enrichment services in the heart of one of Kentucky’s most underserved communities. It is expected to help thousands of individuals overcome employment barriers like addiction histories, criminal backgrounds, lack of education, transportation challenges, mental and physical disabilities and homelessness.

Residents in the area will soon be able to visit the campus to utilize other useful amenities that will include a community cafeteria, technology lab, conference rooms and a full-scale resource center – all of which are in short supply in the nine neighborhoods that make up West Louisville.

BUILDING OUR MISSION

Building the Opportunity Campus is an extension of Goodwill Industries of Kentucky’s mission to help people with significant challenges improve their lives by empowering them to work.

The nonprofit organization plans to raise $30 million to construct a 120,000 square-foot facility on a brownfield property that previously served as home to a heavy industrial manufacturing company for decades. When it is complete, the campus will serve thousands of people every year as a one-stop location for a complement of life-enhancing services. It will offer health, social, financial, career and other important services from a collection of well-established organizations that will be co-located together under one roof in West Louisville.
